Caring for Harris Tweed
Tweed is naturally dirt- and water-repellent. Shaking out or wiping with a damp cloth is usually enough.

For heavier soiling: lukewarm hand wash with wool detergent, dry flat. Do not tumble dry.

Winston knows the hour just before sunset, when the light hangs golden between the tree trunks and somewhere in the distance a branch cracks. But most of all he knows the moment before: when the door clicks shut, the gravel crunches and the path into the forest lies ahead. A huntsman doesn't pull. He walks. And he knows that the most beautiful part of the day is the shared one – the stretch between departure and homecoming, with you at one end and him at the other.

His “Huntsman” leash is classic Harris Tweed®, hand-sewn in our workshop. Robust enough for long walks through forest and heath, elegant enough for the fireside afterwards. It sits well in the hand, withstands any weather and wears the same tweed as the matching “Winston Huntsman” set, so Winston looks cut from the same cloth from head to carabiner.

When morning mist lies over the fields and a Land Rover rolls up the driveway somewhere, Winston is long ready. He won't have to chase a pheasant to be understood. A brief glance upwards, a slight tightening of the leash – no more understanding is needed between two who like the same path.
